During last October’s edition of the Circuits Festival, Electronic Music Malta (EMM) organised a series of performances entitled ‘Away from the Comfort Zone’. This concept had been originally launched in 2020 and pairs electronic music artists with others from other disciplines in an originally prepared performance.

In 2021, the focus was on internationalisation with the artists involved being Maltese singer Clare Ghigo who performed with Italian electronic musician Paolo Gatti; Maltese dancer Rochelle Gatt who was alongside German electronic musician Sabine Ercklentz; and the Maltese/Belgian electronic duo Ayn il-Widen who shared the stage with Dutch vocal artist Han Buhrs.

EMM will be organising a public discussion, during which these artists will talk about their experience, whilst the audience will have the opportunity to view video premieres of the performances themselves.

EMM is supported by the Arts Council Malta. This event is part of the Circuits and Spazju Kreattiv programmes.
