ĊineXjenza: The Human Brain on Film

16 March 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The human brain makes frequent guest appearances in movies. On the 16 March, researchers will be sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly side of neuroscience in the movies.

As part of Brain Awareness Week 2021, ĊineXjenza has invited local neuroscience specialists — members of the Malta Neuroscience Network, University of Malta — to share their favourite “brain-on-film” moments. Using short clips to illustrate, they will discuss some of the most inspiring portrayals of neuroscience in films, as well as the worst and most outlandish representations. In addition to presentations from the researchers, there will be an open discussion with audience members.

CineXjenza is supported by Tiskopri. It is run by the Malta Chamber of Scientists, in collaboration with S- Cubed and Spazju Kreattiv. The regular Brain Awareness Week instalment is organised in association with the Malta Neuroscience Network of the University of Malta.
