In 1843, Martin returned home after fighting in the First Carlist War. When he arrived at his family home in Guipúzcoa, he discovered to his surprise that his younger brother, Joaquín, was much taller than usual. Martín is convinced that he can turn his brother into a circus celebrity that everyone will want to see. The two brothers embark on a long journey through Europe in which ambition, money and fame will change the family’s destiny forever.
