Date and Time: Friday, 27 September 2019, 6pm – midnight  Post: Atrium and Studio A Spazju Kreattiv Free Entrance. Science in the City is Malta’s much beloved Science and Arts festival visited by tens of thousands of people every year. On the 27 September it transforms Valletta from 6pm till midnight. There are events for all ages from children to teenagers to professionals, with creative jazz concerts, neurodiverse dance, science shows, magicians, augmented reality, science theatre and more! This year’s theme is ‘The Science of YOU’ which reflects how science is geared towards the advancement of the individual and how research impacts every single one of us. Spazju Kreattiv will have ceramic plates, puppet shows and hands-on experiments. The Atrium will have ceramic plates by San Anton School students who were inspired by a site visit in March with ecologists Prof David Mifsud and Simone Cutajar. This Kreattiv project was led by More or Less Theatre and supported by Arts Council Malta. In Studio A, Kids Dig Science will perform ‘Don’t cut the Orchids’, that is inspired by the discovery in 2015 of an orchid that is totally new to science and unique to Malta! Through puppet theatre and hands-on experiments developed with the NGO Green House, kids can discover how to protect these plants.
