Songcraft 2020

From a scribble to the stage!

The second edition of Songcraft – a mentorship programme for young singer-songwriters – has now been launched. Aġenzija Żgħażagħ and Spazju Kreattiv have joined forces to provide this programme for six young talented singer-songwriters aged 16 – 20.

Given the current Covid-19 circumstances, the programme has been adapted so that all sessions are being held via online video-conferencing facilities.

Alex Alden (singer-songwriter), Matthew James (singer-songwriter) and Alison Galea (Etnika, Beangrowers, The Shh) will be mentoring the six participants, bringing their original work up to a professional level, and to perform for a public audience at Spazju Kreattiv in September 2020.

Members of the Spazju Kreattiv communications team will also be guiding the young participants in relation to marketing their music and therefore potentially launch their careers whilst Youth Workers from Aġenzija Żgħażagħ will follow closely their progress.
